Introduction

Hi, I just signed onto this forum yesterday, and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm Tim Brosnan-as you can see, I registered under my real name. I play bass mainly, but dabble in guitar somewhat. I'm now a part time player from Cape Cod, MA.

I signed up for this forum for a few reasons;

I've used nothing for guitar but Ernie Ball super slinkys since 1987, at the suggestion of my military NCO's who played guitar. He said they were the best, so I gave them a shot. He was right, and thats all I've used ever since.

I really dig a company, where top people-from Sterling, the owner, to other folks in the company-will come and chat with everybody, and answer our questions. In this day of huge corporations, how could you not like that?

I have not tried Ernie Ball bass strings yet, but I plan on it. If you make awesome guitar strings, how could you not make great bass strings as well? Plus, you can get Ernie Ball strings practically anywhere! Particularly, I may treat my Fender jazz fretless to either some group IV flatwounds, or some slinkys, haven't decided yet. I'm leaning to the flats though, as I dig flatwound strings

Ernie Ball forums are great, looking forward to getting to know the folks here.

Tim

Welcome Tim! Yeah, it's a pretty rare thing then when the owner of the company, family and employees all get to interact on a place like this. Pretty great group of people here.

Enjoy the forum :)

Hi and welcome!
If you haven't tried the EB coated bass strings yet give them a go, they are 100% (providing you like coated strings) Ive got them on both my Rays and swear by them.
