It's a way better show than Idol. It's got a lot going for it - rock songs instead of pop and "new" R&B, house bassist playing MMs and Gibbos, a little Aussie humor from the INXS guys, and some great Bristols on the hostess.
 
Yea it's a somewhat interesting show. EB has been getting some good showing from the bass player, now if they can only get the guitar players to give them some air time.
 
Having watched the show before, with some interest in the whole concept,
I was most impressed last night with the members of INXS-

Their comments and criticism to the performers was excellent.
One performer claimed to be "under the weather" to explain her performance.
A member of the band told her that being on the road requires doing a good show even if you're not 100%, and stressed the importance of staying well.

That was the real thing. I liked that.
 
The girl with the dreads(Jordis I Think?)is the best one on the show. But even her I can't see singing for INXS. Are they really going to find a singer this way?It's kind of like Limp Bizkit's GC deal a few years back when they were going to find a guitarist by trying out people at every GC in the country.They ended up hiring one of their friends(as if all those poor kids who tried out ever had a chance).Besides the fact that INXS hasn't had a hit song on the radio in almost 15 years, I don't think any of these people are going to end up as the long term singer for their band.They(INXS) might get a couple of songs on the radio because of this show but without it I doubt they would have even got that in todays music scene.........

It's summer and everything else that's on is a rerun. Anyway, at least this isn't like Idol. It's pretty good rock and roll with some drama thrown in to make it a little more entertaining. I thought tonight's twist was pretty good. I won't spoil it for you guys on the left coast in case it hasn't aired there yet.
 
Randy, yah Jordis has a chance, but I think that Ty and Mig are probably going to be in the finals. I've been watching the show and think that the idea is neat, but it's what happens after the show is over that I'm really interested in. As you put it, will they stick with the "winner" of this show.

From a reality type show it's nice to see them having people do what the whole deal is about. You know not making them do goofy things like eating pig ballz or something like that.

The 3 that were up there on stage were all chicks. Ok, one of them I didn't expect. Let's just call her "Butterfly Girl". SHE's GONE!!!

The winner gets to sing on the next album and tour. Then they will probably get the boot unless they really hit it off with the band.
 
Yah the red head Heather is out of there!!! I think that it wasn't what she really wanted and kind os thru the whole thing, I think that INXS thought so too.

I think it would be cool to see the whole deal work out and the weiner grow with the band. If the band can grow. I have a feeling that Ty might be the winner and work out, he seems to fit the bands image and he's a really good singer.
