Man, you look cool already - get the EBMM that speaks to you the most. I've had a long time love for Stingrays but lately I'm thinking more and more about the Sterlings - that streamlined look is really nice. Then again, Stingray 5's are pure gold.

I'm not being much help am I?

I'm a big guy, too. But my issue is that I have smaller sized hands on a big frame. For my next Musicman I'd look into a StingRay SLO Special. It has a StingRay sized body that matches my frame, but a great Sterling-sized neck that my hands love. If you like the Sterling neck but are not 100% comfortable on the overall size of the bass with your body-type, I'd go for that.

I'm 5' 7" and 145 lbs. soaking wet and have smaller hands. What do I gig 99% of the time? A SR5.

Great action photo Andrew! And, very nice looking bass. I always love the look of translucent Red guitars.

I say get the bass that makes you excited to play - if that means it has to look a certain way or have a certain tone...whatever it is that makes you look at it and feel compelled to pick it up and play...that's what you want.

Personally, I think everyone should spend some quality time with a Sterling. I wish I still had mine. It is a great bass and kicks some serious butt!!

I am 6'2" 341#s

Fairly large hands.

My Sterling 5 suits me just fine. I love the smaller body and neck.

And I have always been a "baseball bat" neck type of guy.

I was looking into a NEO 410, do you feel under powered to need another 210? I have 2 GK NEO 115s with my Sterling

Oh I don't feel underpowered at all. I just have extra tax return money that the lady has okayed me to splurge on myself with. :D Problem is finding a neo 210 or neo 115 used. If you ever want to part with one of those 15s.... ;)

The Sterling 5 I had looked normal on me. Same with SR5s. With an SR5:

FTR, I'm 6' and right at 200 pounds, all of it solid muscle. (ahem)

Now with a Sterling 4:

Now I don't really CARE an awful lot about whether a bass looks bigger or smaller on me or what anyone else really thinks about a color or the size or whether or not Bongos look like alien spaceships, but in looking at these photos and considering it, I think the Sterling 4 does kind of make me look like a giant amongst men.....hey, maybe I should have kept that.

You big guys could switch to playing upright if you want a bigger looking bass.
