I do believe that SR5 will standup to the gig just as well as mine always has.

pickguard is black, but has a high performance blue sparkle vinyl sticker on it, which can be pealed off using a hair dryer

I have never pealed anything with a hair dryer... Im assumming that it would be a pretty painstaking process
