Is my Stingray ash or alder?

It's a 2013 model and when I entered the serial number into the website it doesn't tell me what wood the body is made from.

I've asked several people but get different responses. It weighs 8.5 pounds.

Looks like ash to me. I believe ash was usually used for translucent finishes, and after 2012 or so I think ash was the standard body wood.

At 8.5lb for an SR, I wouldve said Swamp Ash on that alone, even without seeing any pix ! Thaz a great find.
