I've recently purchased a stingray, and i've been noticing the E string slide off the fretboard a lot when i play. When I look at the strings and the neck closely, it looks like the strings are set at an angle towards the E string, as if the nut's grooves were misplaced or something.
it's a little difficult to explain, i guess, but basically the strings or neck are crooked, and i was wondering what i'm supposed to do?
can i fix it pretty easily? i've got it on the musicman warranty thing I think...

oh yeah... i'm not really big on the technical vocabulary. if you guys could explain it in simple terms, that'd be cool. if not, that's ok... i can figure it out myself

ok... any help would be nice

yeah it's very new...
i'm not sure about the serial # mumbo jumbo, but i did some figuring and i'm guessing it was built in september/2002.
also, i had bought it at the end of december/2002.

it's not an extremely big deal... i can adapt... but if i can fix it myself without sending it to a factory, (which is something i really don't want to do,) i would like to know how.

yelloman, if you did send it back to the factory, they would have it repaired and shipped back to you very quick. I know from experience that EB/MM customer service is great.

I don't think it's a problem worth sending away for, though. I mean, I could just as well just adapt, and that'll be a fun thing to do, anyway.
But yea, i don't doubt the customer service... i'm sure it's great. I love the way it plays and feels, (except when it slips off,) so I'm not extraordinarily concerned, or I would have sent it in already.

But thanks!! :D :D
