Alright man... So... how do I tell what tubes they are?:D

Ya pull em out and look :). You'll notice the preamp tubes are missing one pin, which has to match when putting them in. The power tube sockets have a key which matches the tube. These insure each pin goes where it belongs. Gentle and firm is the way, and it's good if you can place your hand on the top of the tube when you pull them so they don't knock against the amp and break. They are just glass bottles after all. If they're tight, it's ok to wiggle them a little while pulling.

Thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread. I learned a lot.

I just pulled the trigger on ordering a Silo Special SSS with piezo and I expect delivery in a couple months or so. Can't wait!
