My 'Ray is basically out-of-the-box setup with very slight truss rod adjustment and it plays fine. (3/32") from the 12th fret, per the FAQ section. I was just noticing that, compared to my other basses, and others that I've played, that the action seems to be more "level" on the others.
On my 'Ray the strings sit lower towards the top of the neck (than the others) but both are about the same height around the 12th Fret. The other basses seem to be a little higher by the top of the neck, making the strings appear more "level". Again the 12th fret height is about the same. They're not totally level, of course, but on my 'Ray it just looks more "sloped" than others I've seen. Is this lower action? or is this why people say the Stringray has low action? Or do I need to adjust?
thanks
