I've been on this forum for a couple of months now, and have noticed that some forumites have said how nice they found the Albert Lee.
Some of the guys who went to the Open House in SLO said that they had never tried an Albert Lee before and were really pleased when they played it.

I've said before on this Forum how difficult it was for me to track down EBMM guitars (not basses) here in the UK . Tracking down an Albert Lee was nigh on impossible!!

My guitar tech buddy raves about them, and can't wait to see my new one.

So how come the Albert is as rare as Rocking Horse Sh!T!!
Why aren't more people buying them?

I'll certainly being singing it's praises when I get mine!!

So whats up ?

Like BP said in another thread, it just hasn't taken off. It is the greatest guitar and I'm pumped that I bought mine.

Being in the UK I can see how it would be hard to locate one. Contact EBMM next monday and see if they can help you locate one, can't hurt.

Of course you could just look up Albert Lee himself and check out his. :D

Why don't you contact the UK distributor (Strings and Things?) I'm sure they could help you out. The Australian distributor is the most helpful and approachable wholesaler I've ever come across.

I have to be honest....I never played one until I found one in Iraq.....that is a long story in itself.....but, it needed new strings, which I put on and a slight set up that I did. I gave it to one of the Army guys to cheer him up a little....I really need to get one....they are AWESOME!

I agree that it's the best strat ever made, at least for me.

I think it hasn't caught on cuz it's a bit weird looking. I didn't like it at first either, but then I realized it's tailfin pointy, not metal pointy.

Cheers Colin, they are helpful- my local guitar dealer has to go thro Strings & things. Man I can't wait for mine - ETA circa February 06.

Gotta be one of the best guitars I've tried out!

and nice one Koogs, good gesture my man - I hope it was a Limey who got it off you in Iraq, so that there will be another Albert in the UK.

You know, that was the first choice I had to make !!

I went with the Seymours 'cos one of my guitars already has 3 "meaty" pickups.

Before I ordered my AL I was in the market for a new guitar after playing my mates Mex Strat - a real nice guitar! But after trying out an Albert I had to get one instead of the Strat.

Go on, get one !! Lets form the "Allbert Lee Guitar Appreciation Society", and convert the world !! lol! :D
