Ive been getting severe GAS since I started reading up on the tone of the Bongo. I personally think the shape is pretty cool, and nice to see something thats different.

Ive seen a 5HH recently, and I keep wanting to buy it, but I cant try before I buy.

I really like the EBMM 5 string basses Ive tried, mainly Stingrays, and Ive also fallen big time for the Big Al.

This Bongo is quite a radical colour (Lava Pearl), so its definitely something Im not used to (I tend to go for old school vintage colours like White/V Sunburst/Tobacco Burst etc) but the idea of it standing out is pretty cool.

Hmm!

I have a Bongo 4 HH that I just bought without ever playing a Bongo before. I also have a Bongo 4 H Roasted being built right now. The body shape started to grow on me and as a result, I took everybody's word that I would love a Bongo. Sure enough, I have not been disappointed with mine one bit.

Enough!

...Of the "body Shape" thing that is!:D

When you PLAY a Bongo, all of a suden you (should) realize:
"Hey! These BMW Group/EBMM Bass Guitar designers nailed it! Why Goodness, this is THE most comfortable bass I've ever played! I don't even know that it's here! How the body and sculpted upper horn are synergistic to perfection! Yes!
A FINE looking bass!"

Then you plug it in, and G'by!
HH.
Thunder.
Bass Tone of the Gods.
The way a Bass is supposed to sound, except Bigger. Bolder. Better.

So yes, get a HH. (4-strings are enough). Or get a Big Al, or a Reflex, or a 'Ray.
4-strings are enough. For me. haha:mad:

And oh yeh, (1) other thing: The color doesn't matter, they're all kewl.

Enjoy.:D

You know my answer.

Bongos make you taller, handsomer and more charming.

Besides, who wouldn't want a bass that can level cities?

If you don't do it, you will walk around for the rest of your life wondering about it. It will haunt you. You will lose sleep. You'll forget to eat. You will become a shadow of your former self, wandering the streets at night, tortured by anguished thoughts of what might have been.

Much better and easier to succumb now, don't you think?

I have a Lava Pearl Bongo 4HHP Fretless that is SWEEEETT!!! Almost ended up selling her but the unseen powers intervened and now I am loving jamming Phoebe!

Tonal ranges are awesome, the ergonomics are perfect, and the neck is so comfortable to play.

Bottom line -- GO FOR IT!!!!:D

You know you want this bass ;)

I have the exact same bass but with a piezo and the added mojo of once having been owned by forumites Zak and Erin in the past.

I think it's a fantastic bass - and I am generally a Stingray guy - if you like the EBMM humbucker sound you'll be bowled over by the extra power and sounds the Bongo will give you.

The colour is great also - the Bongo just suits the bolder colours and lava pearl is very cool

Ah heck....I could have gone for this today, but now no one is home for deliveries for quite a while. Im busy and out the house as is my girlfriend for the next 7 days or more....very difficult to sometimes plan these purchases.

Main problem is we dont know our neighbours and I dont want to leave a bass from a courier with someone I dont know :(

In addition, I cant get deliveries at work as its right in the middle of a college.

Heck...ill have to have a good think.

I have the same bass, same color. Chicks think it's gorgeous. That alone is reason enough to have it.
