is this Tobacco Burst?

hey,
I was wondering if that is the Tobacco Burst finish.
whatever it is it's freaking amazing and I dont understand why it's not seen more often. I'm seriously thinking of staying in the saving game a little bit more and ordering a completely new fretless SR4, instead of buying used, just to get this specific finish.

Holy smokes. That looks very nice. So vintage! :) looking at several EBMM color options, I think this would be tobacco.

-edit-

I've looked at several basses on basscentral.com. This should be tobacco burst. The weird thing is that on some basses the border of the finish is black, while on others (including the picture above) the border is more brown than black.

Hmm, i've never really looked at a tobacco burst musicman before, and while it's not one of my favourite colours (i usually really dislike it) it looks pretty good there, i think because it's more subtle

It depends on the lighting that the picture was taken in. Honeyburst is close to that as well, but I too think it's Tobacco Sunburst. Very nice finish!

I think it's tobacco burst, Arin, that first one up top. Not enough reds in it to be honeyburst and not drastic enough to be vintage. Very, very brown....tobacco burst is my guesstimate (and I come to that guess by subtraction - it's one of the few finishes I've never owned).

It seems as if there are grades of burst in the same general category:
Cherry Burst (yellow/organge/red)
Honeyburst (yellow/orange/brown)
Tobacco Sunburst (yellow/brown)
Vintage Sunburst (yellow/orange/black)

The Cherry Burst is more brilliant than the rest, while the others are little more subdued.
They all look really good.

The best way to see the difference is to scroll on the colours on the EBMM instrument pages:

From those pictures it looks a very similar colour those those fretless vintage modified jazzes. I'm not comparing a musicman to a squier, but those new squiers represent some really good VFM these days!

YES that is tobacco sunburst, and if your over 40 it's called 2 tone burst.

GULP! This is the colour that haunts my dreams!!!

My next EBMM bass is going to be fretless and I'm torn between Tobacco burst and the new White pearl. This photo is putting me over the edge. It looks so gorgeous with the "blank plank"!

you sure? 2TS is usually amber and black.
the only thing I ever saw that resembles EBMM's TB is the burst finish on early 80's F****r Walnut Precision Specials.
