Orange Firemist, that looks like Copperhead bronze, have you had it check in the Serial number sticky?

If it's Copperhead bronze, then it is rare, it was a Guitar Center Special. Did you get it new or used?

Glenn |B)

Picked it up used on here about 2010/2011 was in shop new condition and still is.
Was told it was the firemist but have put a request in the sticky to get MM to confirm.
It is very difficult to capture correctly.

Nice one guys - some great photos so far and almost 3000 views to date!! - certainly attracting a bit of interest.
If the weather is dry this weekend, I'll take some photos of my 3 X Als. It's about time I took some new ones.

So if anyone hasn't posted photos yet or feel like taking some new photos this week end - go for it!
This is turning into a nice little Albert Thread.

Thanks for that.

My GOODNESS that's gorgeous! The AL lends itself so well to a variety of finishes, pickup configs, neck materials etc…Damned the AL for being so sexy in so many ways!!!

It's has been my favorite guitar to play since day one. The only thing is, this guitar is screaming for some chrome vol/tone knobs to match the pup covers. Anyone know what size/type knobs I need?

Resurrection....

Doing some research recently, I stumbled across this thread that I had long forgot about.
It seems to me to be one of the definitive Albert Lee threads, and I would love to see it made into a --STICKY-- :p (please??)

In order to attempt to breath some new life into it, I'm going to list my current Clan of AL's....

I was put off by the shape of the Albert Lee model for a number of years...my pre-conceptions told me they were too strange and so I had no interest in them.
Then one fateful day I saw this guy in my local GC, and something about the finish gave me pause...
I broke down and touched it...played it... and quickly fell in love with it! I thought "Wow...I had no idea..."
It was so comfortable and balanced...so versatile... so friggin' awesome! It came home with me :D

My first EBMM 'keeper'...

Weird AL -

...then came Spanky -

...then more recently I acquired DeeDee - (which apparently belonged to 'Bloozguy' some time before *see page 5)

...Now I've added 'Turkish' - ( "ya like dags??" )

...and 'Sky' -

C'mon folks, let's keep this thread alive!!! ;)
