Congrats on the 20th SR5!

Hope the 3 months is accurate! When I placed the order for mine, my dealer said he couldn't give me an accurate delivery date, but he guessed it would take 6-8 months

I was told the 2007LE I ordered was 8 or so months out...so I wouldn't expect the 20th SR5 out earlier than that.

Anybody remember when the 30th anniversary rays were actually available?
I'd like to know exactly how many months transpired between the opening of the order window and the initial shipping.

...oh yeah, I can tell already that the 20th SR5 is gonna be way too much bass for me.
I can barely handle the awesomeness of my regular SR5's B-string, and I think that the tone block B-string would cause me to fall over and hit my head.
=o

on the other hand, the mahog 30th fretless w/ flats works really well together...in a way i never expected.
I knew I wasn't gonna get a real jaco type sound outta a mahog stringray, and I kept wondering when all my tweeking would pay off
and I'd find out what kind of unique voice this baby's got.
Well, after giving the EB Group III Flats a chance to mellow out, I found it easy to dial in that awesome, old-school "Bathiki Kumalo ala Graceland/Rhythm of the Saints" tone.
Punchy, Cutting, Growly, Gnarly Fretless tone!

Sorry Ashiin, didn't mean to go off on a tangent!

I'm with you guys. I called 'my dealer' late last week and ordered a single humbucker 20th SR5 w/MHS. I'm excited, but come to think of it, that useless dealer didn't even give me a GUESS about when it would be ready!

I got an email from Ed Friedland last night. He's had that 20th Sr5 HH for evaluation and apparently it's too good to ignore. He was asking about prices, availability, that sort of thing, so what does that tell you about these 20ths? Ed has a lot of basses pass through his hands.

So anyway, I'm on the waiting list with you guys.

Congrats man! That 20th is goin' to rock!

I've had a MM on order at all times for the past year and yes, it does suck. Still waiting on my Dargie after 7 1/2 months but oh man will it be worth it. :)

Just don't do what i've done and purchase another bass in your wait. Even though i'm excited about the other as well. :p

I've been thinking more and more about diving into one of these, but I've got a lot of things coming up this year and don't really want to put myself in a bind. Anybody know how long the ordering window is open?
