I am so happy I finally picked up a Ray and SUB Sterling (sold this one over the weekend)...soon a Bongo as well. I can't wait to get into the studio or playing shows with my band I play bass in Just to get out there and be able to crank it up and finally be happywith my tone. HOWEVER....The singer/guitar player needs to hold off on everything for a little while as he got married last March and was on the road with another band for over 26 weeks since he walked down the isle. I keep trying to push him on getting the ball rolling but he needs to lay low for a bit to keep the wife happy. I have been sitting quietly, not playing in a band for a little over a year and just want to play. Well, my old band and another band asked me to play but as a rhythm guitar player. I'm going to do it and have fun but I want to play my bass! We will be going into the studio for the new record at some point this year but I hope it's soon. I guess at least I have the opportunity to play SOMETHING and both the bands are getting ready to record so shows and studio time will be keeping me busy.
Have any of you done the same, played something other than you primary instrument just to get back out there and have fun?
