My new Bongo HSp that is! With the stars aligned, it should appear at my door on Friday afternoon - just in time for a first gig Saturday night! :)

So I tell my wife (she has to accept the delivery) - "UPS coming Friday - it's a new bass guitar..."

She starts shouting about running out to buy new rugs and a table or two she's been putting off, then I remind her this is the bass I bought earlier this year and it's just now being delivered.

"Oh, the Bongo?" she asks... "Well ok then" she says...

I love this woman - Woo-hoo! :D

Hey that's great. I say you let her go get a rug or table. Then it's collateral for your next bass. Cause you're in the clear now. And you can say, "Oh, you remember that rug...?"

Why would someone rather have a rug or a table than a Bongo HSP?

Just wondering...

Heh, the only reason I was able to order my last bass was because I bought my girlfriend a Nintendo Wii the same weekend.

Just got my tracking number - looks like it'll be here tomorrow!

Either way, I should have it in time for Saturday's gig - nice - looking forward to breaking it in. Actually have the Band excitd too! :D

Just like watching the grass grow or waiting for the water to boil, eh? In the meantime, get the digital camera ready!

Oh my...

It's been a very busy two days - with personal and professional demands and a Saturday "all day" gig to prep for...

But what a bass! :D

I could not make the time for pics - yet - I will certainly get some tomorrow and get them up tis weekend.

And oh, what a bass! :D

Any "I must be crazy" inkling I had about a second Sapphire Black w/ Moonstone combo, what with all the choices there are, well in my book Sapphire Black w/ Moonstone just KILLS! 'Tis a beauty!

Had my first Jam session with the new Bongo this afternoon - my 12 year-old son on guitar and cousin Joey on drums (Joey was three years old and the ring-boy for my wedding some 19 years ago!). Me and the young and younger kid jamming away. It was sureal...

Smoke on the Water, Iron Man, Johnny-B-Goode and some random 1-4-5 stuff, alternating between blues and rock-n-roll. Lot's of fun. Bongo straight into the board and sounding great all on it's own. Very cool jamming with the young and younger kid - and it was LOUD!

Man oh man what a bass! :D

The Bongo HSp just KILLS - I love this combo and the 50/50/50 blend is perfect.

I had just enough time today to dial-in my preferred set-up (I likes my action REAL low!). Restrung with flats, set the neck dead flat and backed-off just a pinch. Lowered the saddles and settled into a perfect 1/16th string height at the 12th fret. Intonation stayed spot on, reset pick-up height and I am ready for tomorrow.

OMG - What a bass! :D

Anyway, pics to "prove it" - it is an awesome instrument, with awesome tone.
