Ok, You've all helped me make up my mind now.

As for smokers... I'm gassing for one of those too. But my wife bought me a starter one years ago that I've yet to use. I got to show some iniative and put it to use before I can ask her for an upgrade. I'll shoot for a BP smoker next summer.

That TEC is really fabulous gets real hot and no direct heat....I cook a lot of fish on it when I want Flavor Neutral....very clean taste no gas at all
