Music Man Sterling 5 blues.
I was surprised at how small and light it is for a 5. The third pic shows that it is no bigger than a Bongo 4. I haven't fully explored the tonal palette yet but I liked position 4 ( coils 2 and 3 in series) mid hump right away.
Build quality is disappointingly top notch as usual. String spacing is SR5 although I remember the SR5 neck to be somewhat flatter. The Bongo style pickup cases are very thumb friendly, the string and pup spacing leave plenty of room for slapping and popping, the knobs offer solid traction and good feel. C'mon BP give me something to complain about here!
Onto the pics. The R/L color isn't baby blue as it appears here. There is a lot more silver tint than can be captured on my camera
With the Small Equestrian and Dargie Bongos
Ready for sea.
Props to Pete for going out of his way to get this bass to me before Thanksgiving and my long trip.
Of course, thanks to BP and the EBMM staff for making yet another fine bass for me!
