I know I probably did this backwards, but I finally added to my ernie ball collection.

Graphite SUB 1 Hardtail. Here's a pic next to my Axis.

If I can fight the urge (and I probably won't), I'm going to try and keep my collection at two.

(Or until Pete comes back from Dallas and checks his email. . . . . hello Blueburst Axis!!!)

I'm contemplating some mods on this one. Nothing drastic, just locking tuners, and some hotter pickups.

I'd really like to get a couple of extra pickguards and wire them up with some different pickup combos. Get one with Evolutions, one with the Axis neck and bridge pickups. maybe one with EMG's loaded. Then get the molex quick connect so I can swap them out easily.

I'd really like to wire one up with two volume pots (1 neck 1 bridge), so I can use the 3-way as a kill switch.

Anyway, I can't recommend these enough. They really are great guitars. And you won't find a USA made guitar for this kind of money.

I plated a Sterling and a Sub bass right after each other in Cardiff Guitars - the Sub was a great instrument and played great. Shame they are going.
