hey i was just flipping through the 'Jamiroquai: high times 1992-2006' album booklet and found the EBMM logo printed in it with a few other logos from companies such as sennheiser, yamaha, mesa boogie, sabian e.t.c. and so was just curious as to what extent is jamiroquai sponsored by EBMM?

I ask cuz i absolutely love jamiroquai and wondered whether perhaps jamiroquai's bassist uses mm basses or whether the guitarist uses MM guitars.

Former bass player Nick Fyffe also started out on a pre-EB Stingray but used SR5's live before switching to Yamaha and Zon.

The guitarist also weilds an EBMM axe.

Current guitarist Rob Harris is a customer at Machinehead, and a good friend of Ant at the store.

Not sure of his endorsee status but I know he has used Silos in the past.

I'll ask him next week.

I hung with these guys!

We were in Germany?? or something like that this last summer and all of us were staying at the same hotel. e were leaving for the gig and some of the band came up to us and said hi, they had a night off as they were on the next night at the same festival, and we invited them to the show and they are GREAT guys and I dig there music as well. After we ended up at the hotel bar and Jay and I were boozin pretty well, as were all the guys and had MANY laughs! Great players and very humble nice cats, Jay was hilarious and I got him well f****d! hahahaha
Just a story for you fans. They did say they dig the MM stuff as this is relavant. hahaha

You can find many vids of Paul Turner laying it down with a beauty white SR5. Awesome fingerstyle funk tone!

I believe Stewart Zender, who played on all the big hits in the 90's must have used EB strings,
since I've never seen him play a EBMM bass. Although his bass tone is so processed on those recordings that it is hard to tell what bass he is using.
To bad he walked out on the band at the MTV Awards show, since he's such a funk, nasty player.

From the horses mouth.....

Rob Harris is an EBMM endorsee and mainly uses a white Silhouette Special.

Mr Zender played a W@rwick Thumb (and one of his was on ebay a few months back)

I dont think anyone after him carried the grooves so well, possibly as some of the material dropped off through their career?? Great band though, love 'em. Especially pre-Travelling without moving

Before i got my Bongo I considered a Thumb as an option, played a couple. Sweet basses!

Well... I did buy a Bongo in the end so alls well that ends well!! :D
