No the same stuff is being applied to both. There are more protos because we started with the bass.

The chambering started with the guitar and we liked it som much that we are using oit on the bass.

Cool. Thanks, BP. I'm looking forward to more updates as they come. Very cool things going on at SLO.

In the switching scheme, is there a position or setting that will make me play/sound better? Cause I definitely need that. Or I need to switch to an easier instrument, like the kazoo.

Anything new here?

Are you guys looking at using the standard Dimazio pups or are you going for something totally different?

Definitely interested in following development of the 25th. Have decided to cool my jets on a few other acquisitions. Am for sure willing to wait ... chambering? multi-switching? larger body size? altered body shape? tone block? Oh yes. I will wait for this .... :D:cool:

cheers always, eh

Funny thing is I was feeling drawn back to the Axis. I was considering buying a used MM90 loaded Super Sport, but then the 25th ann announcement came, and I ditched that plan.

I can't wait for winter NAMM. This guitar is going to kick so much ass, and I'm probably going to get in SOOOOOOOO much trouble with my wife. I will probably have to make two deposits the day the orders start - one for the guitar, and another for the hotel I'm going to need to stay in until my wife lets me back. :D

We are really excited about the chambering stuff...the guitars are so resonant and light that we are investigating the following concepts...all of these guitars have the increased contour

Having done some in depth research on minute repeaters recently, I'm inclned to believe that this one chamber patter will yield a richer and deeper tone compared to the rest. Something about closed tubes and odd harmonics, and the necessity of the sheer volume of air in a single body rather than in several. But that's in watches, and metal. Not sure about guitars. Heh...:p

nice work BP! here's a suggestion: why not put a clear coat perspex over the chamber on proto 2 and put a ball bearing in the channel. then whilst rocking out with the guitar, your task is to get the ball bearing from oneend to the other???!!! :D

+1

Even better, can you build one with a big dowel rod sticking out of the front. It can double as a Ring Toss game for the audience! Now THAT'S entertainment value.

Now there's an idea for Nigel Tufnel's next axe !!

Add a couple of Pinball Paddles, some flashing lights, a spring or two, and you've got another classic !
