The real difference between the P and the J is that you can lean a Precision against your amp.

A Jazz will fall over.

And Jon, the Dudepit is not for everyone. The owner takes a hard line against, hmm, how to put this.....well, people who are too young to understand that we are too old for them.

You and me, we're okay, we're decrepit.

truly sorry about the loss of your beloved bass. keep hope alive; i left my '61 strat at a friend's house in about ought-71, and it got stolen in a burglary. so happened the coppers were eyeballin the scuzballs while they toted up enough burglaries to qualify for being a real criminal enterprise. they got busted and i got my strat back, though the spazzes dinged it up pretty good before it was recovered. so, sometimes these things work out.

is there a problem, my ozzie friend? what are you implying by calling me a "troll?" you prick. i carved out bodies in the woodshop in fullerton before they went automated and sold to the japanese and put a lot of good guys (and women) out of work. i'd gone back to california to work for leo fender, but i wasn't paying attention --- he'd left, of course, and had just come out of his non-competition agreement with cbs and was gearing up music man down the road. he was small and didn't need help then, so i went ahead at cbs. it was a total gas, and i have most of my best work-related memories from those days, when you couldn't see across the parking lot at lunch time for the, er, smoke that came pouring out of the vans when it was time to go back in and run that very sharp heavy equipment. i couldn't remember the specs on the necks, but i thought the jazz neck was skinnier. i was here, 'cause i've got a hard-on for a mm bass, so threw out an innocent and okay question. so that makes me a troll? bite me, you roo-chewin' vegamite-eating, upside-down wanker.

Now, now. Lets not start some kind of flame war, for it will be nasty, unless this is what you old(er) guys call "shooting the bull." And yes, this forum is very picture-oriented. More pics, please. :p Nudge-nudge, wink-wink. Say no more!

Charles, calling you a troll is not in the same ballpark as calling someone a prick. A troll in an internet context is someone who baits others on message boards or forums, by asking obvious questions or trying to be controversial just for the sake of it.

I've never worked in a Fender factory, but I do know the difference between the necks on Precision and Jazz basses.

And yes, your wife has great legs. But I'm sure Bovine's wife has a better rack.

This has certainly turned out to be more fun than one would have expected.

BTW, welcome, Mr Inkboy. I haven't yet seen your wife's knees, but promise to go have a look later.

What sort of MM you thinking about?

No wonder Jack is so happy all the time! I don't think I would be on the computer half as much as he is though if I were married to her. Good work Jack!
