Me too. Around here, corporate shows pay 2 or 3 times more than bar or club gigs, and they usually feed and water us real well. Plus, we get to see some nicely dressed up classy pootang, and there are rarely any toothless men smashing beer bottles over each other's heads at corporate gigs. I'll gladly take as much corporate work as they want to give me.

As soon as we know we are playing at a decent hotel, we get there early, set up the band and say, don't worry about giving us a bedroom to change in, we'll just use the health club changing rooms; and the showers, and the steam rooms, and the swimming pool. Never refused! and then into the restaurant for a nice meal.

Pubs? did them for 10 years - don't need the headache.
