Ye sounds good. Not as big and polished as John Henry but alot more raw sounding which i like. All recorded in Greece of all places...

I'm bursting with pride.

Not only Joe recorded this album using my favorite guitar (25th) but he also did so in one of the most beautiful islands in my country! Not to mention one of the best recording studios you could find.

He even named the album after the Island (Black Rock is Thera Island, or Santorini as it's known, it's depicted on the cover).

You also have Greek music influences (even instruments) and playing with Greek musicians. Just listen to "Athens to Athens".

Great album overall, definitely a winner.
