sounds like he's a bit off tune... is it on purpose?

  Off tune???!!! I do believe it's a baritone JP, and it's certainly tuned low, but it's in tune. And it sounds HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes it is from the Royal Albert Hall show. (I have the concert video and watch it over and over and over. . . . .) Go Joe go!!! I saw him this year and was a wee bit disappointed when he DIDN'T use the JP for "The Ballad of John Henry". But he is one of the GREATS!!!

No doubt he's great :)) maybe it's the low tuning that reacts this way on heavier attack...

I know I'm WAY late to this party, but this show is amazing. I've been putting off buying any of Joe's music because I didn't know a good starting point. This video finally engrained into my head to buy something. I chose the "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" cd. OMG. Simply fantastic!

Sloe Gin is one of the best contemporary rock/blues ballads I've ever heard.

pretty awesome? hell yeah! amazing how close to his Gibson tones he can get with the 25th too. the 25th has just a bit more sparkle to it.

I am a heavy metal guy and I friggin love Joe Bonamassa. That guitar is a bari and it is tuned to B. I have mine set up the same way. He sounds a little better than me though ;)

I love me some Joe B, my kind of player and music. I think since he has been doing the BCC gig some Glenn Hughes has rubbed off on him, as he has become a much stronger and confident vocalist. A lot of people do not realize that vocals are pretty much like any instrument and the harder you work on them the better you will get. Clapton was always one of my favorite guitarist, and later in his career became one of my favorite vocalist as I just love the way he puts over a song and in his bio he talks about a period of really working on them. You can here in Bonamassa's phrasing these days he has been taking some pointers from Hughes who still sounds freakishly great for a guy his age. The guitar tone on that version is massive, I do not understand what anyone is hearing as being out of tune. You are aware he is playing slide on the song.

Hey great video! thanks for posting.. he really has the charm every time he performs anywhere.

Btw, what he was doing with his hands on 6:56? or was it only a pedal effect things (and he did nothing with his hand)?

I am also wondering why do many live performances has two drummer playing exactly same beat in a same movement, what are they actually trying to reach with two drummers? volume on the stage? or is there anything else?
