Off to see Joe Bonamassa tonight at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh.

Can't wait to see what MM's he is gonna be tearing it up on ... wonder if there will be any sneaky new surprises in his hands tonight ?

I saw him last fall in Baltimore, MD (USA) and he used a Y2D during Battle of John Henry. I also saw him with Black Country Communion last summer and he had a black Morse with a reverse headstock.

Have a great time...he's awesome live.

He's incredible live. In fact, you MUST pick up the new Live at the Beacon Theater DVD. I was at the second of two shows. You'll be blown away. I'm just holding off until we get a new BR disc player..

Anyway, he doesn't play his Balls that much. Usually once or twice a night. Mostly sticks with his Les Pauls.

Check the thread I made a month back. Joe's got 3 EB/MM's with him on this European tour. Got a chance to chat with Mike his guitar tech for a good hour almost. Great guy, and we got to see up close and person his rig and axes. Great setup he's got.

Enjoy the show, I wish I could go.....As much as I like EBMM guitars....I think Joe's signature sound is the Les Paul..I guess that is why he sparingly plays his Balls.......Anyway....give us an update tomorrow!!!!

well chaps.

it was an AMAZING show. annoyingly the tickets said 'doors at 730pm' however this meant Joe is on stage at 730pm so we missed the first half of the opening song 'slow train'.

What a tone he has live. so vibrant and thick like a sledgehammer to the face really.

As DevRock said, he played mostly Gibsons the whole night. He only broke out 1 EBMM and that was his BFR Morse with reverse headstock i know call 'Black Velvet'. I've never been a fan of transparent black finishes but this thing is stunning!!

And i did pickup his latest Beacon Theater DVD. hopefully get a chance to watch it tonight.

I saw him live in Wolverhampton UK a couple of years ago. The man is a machine, completely flawless, a fantastic guitar player and all round nice guy.
