Yeah, I saw that too. I almost went running for the computer to post it here, but decided that someone was probl all over it! The RR looked killer under the lights. I must admit, I was SHOCKED to see him playing a JP. That really speaks volumes for how killer the guitar is. But to see a guy of his caliber playing another artists guitar on natl TV, not to mention a JP, when he could play anything he wants, is just awesome! I figured he play a Les Paul or something, but not a JP. That is just beyond cool! He's a smart man.

His performance was stellar too. He is still great after all these years. You know, it's hard to believe how many hits CCR had, when you consider that they all came from a three year period! They launched like a rocket, then exploded in mid-air. Too bad. And all because Fogerty was an ass (the way I see it). But he was young at the time (25ish), and who can blame him. I don't believe he is that way now.

God love Jerry Lee too though. I guess he was just kidding when he wrote "No More Hangin' On"! Nothing about him is even close to what he was, and yet you can instantly tell it's The Killer. And he looks so good for his age, that it makes it easy to forget he's 72yrs old, and has drank more whiskey than we have water. He looks to me like he's got Alzheimer's though. I hope not.

Little Richard was great, even though I really can't stand him (only because he's simply annoying, not because he's gay). But he can still sing and play. Jerry Lee wasn't really playing anything too tricky, and LR was playing with much more authority. Heck, LR is 75yrs old!

This should give us all confidence that we'll be drooling over the 2030 LE's. HA!!

John Fogerty called 3:45pm on friday and asked us if we had another Petrucci! (ALL Stock)

He actually has a Mystic Dream 6 that we sent 5 years ago! He loves the guitar but felt it would not show up on TV. We scoured the factory and found the Radiance Red one just in time.(Thanks, Tomas-Aziah-Diaz) We also sent a BFR Bahama Blue one to try out, but he like the red one best!

Gibson who sponsored the outdoor stage sent him 2 $10,000 dollar Les Pauls and said they would give them to him if he played one on the show! John told his tech I do not want to look at them, not interested! He said he wanted to play the Petrucci and nothing but!

I have a feeling we will not be getting back that Radiance Red Petrucci.

wow....of all the music man's, I would never have considered John Fogerty would play a pet.

you know, I have been trying to sell my rad red to make room for a new pet? Maybe I should reconsider. If it's good enough for John Fogerty to play on the Grammy's then it should be good for me as well.

There you have it..thanks for the info Derek! JF is just a brilliant musician. I grew up listening to CRR as my mom is a huge fan....she still is to this day! Can't blame her really, just great music.

Also, JF not wanting to even look at the Gibby's tells you something. He loves EBMM and I can see why. Honestly, I can't look at them either....just don't like the feel. EBMM are meant to be played on stage with great tone, great feel, great sustain, great looks and best of all.....we can get all of that just like the artists.

Thanks for that tidbit Derek!
That's just awesome! :)

Too bad info like that doesn't hit mass media and other guitar forums. All the wannabees might rethink their guitar purchases.

[Who would've thought one of classic rock's greatest icons would even be interested in a modern prog-rock player's sig model?]

John Fogerty asked for the JP model years ago because he is interested in shredding!

He is up on Petrucci, Morse, Vai ect and respects what they do very much.

those pics are great. Radiance red looks SICK under the lights. It's strange to see someone besides JP play one, nevermind on TV. That rocks so hard!!!
