Hey guys,

Rick from Oz here. Thought you might like this shot of John Fogerty and his Axis taken on stage in Sydney. Apparently, he's been an EB strings and Axis man for years.

Cheers

Rick

Rick,

You're right, he has been a MM player for years. Hey, here's a thought: Pop's next bash featuring, you guessed it - the legendary John Fogerty!! If BP wants him, I'll start working on it right now!!:)

That would be good -

I am listening to a lot of Creedence / John Fogerty at the moment - absolute classics.

I didn't know that JF played EBMM. That's rather unexpected actually.

BTW, Our band is playing it's first gig this weekend. Our opening song is Born on the Bayou. We start it out with a 3 minute "jam" intro and jam a bit more at the end. It's a cool song.

I believe Ive seen him use both EBMM Axis and Axis SS gtrs. He's a great lead player. Very underrated. In concert he uses a wide range of different gtrs. He has a great tone too. I envy guys that can play several different makes and models of gtrs; all well.

Frankly though, he could add a AL to cover the straty stuff and maybe a Morse to cover the tele stuff.

Come to think of it, he could use all MM gtrs for everything he does.

Every so often I play w/a bar band that does around 3 or 4 CCR songs and my Axis Sport has always covered them well.

I saw John Fogerty on Letterman a few days ago, and expected him to have an Axis, but sadly he was playing a Les Paul. Great player and great tone though!

More importantly - look at the date of the OP. Eight years ago. I wonder if he still plays it.
