JF played a gig yesterday evening in Munich. He was using three MM guitars beside some others. Two red JP with different pu-settings and his well known Axis. Great guitar sound with all of his guitars and he´s a real good guitar player. I think he did a lot of country style picking lessons in the last years ;). Great concert with a lot of his old songs.

Saw him play here in Moncton two years ago (opening for the Eagles). He used his well known Axis and a red JP then as well. Very nice tone, and you are right, he is a great player. Did all the old favorites as well as a half dozen tunes from his latest album. Well worth seeing for sure. His tone was fantastic (worth mentioning again)!

I saw him last year and he also played the JP and Axis (As well as the particular brand he used to record the CCR classics). He also played what looked like a Silhouette Special for the encore.

Another true genius. I can just here him sing one note and I am a kid again in the 60s, as something about CCR and Vietnam footage on the news are stuck in my head. Must also be stuck in a lot of directors heads too as just about every movie on that war has a CCR song in the soundtrack.lol The thing that bugged me out was that it was not till I was about 25 that I learned he was born and raised in California, as I always thought he was from the deep south, and till this day it puzzles me how his lyrics are so heavily based there. The guy can paint a hell of a picture with his lyrics and has always been an excellent guitarist and was the second player that I figured out who tuned down a whole step on a song (Fortunate Son)after McCartney on Yesterday. For those who remember before tab you could only get piano sheet music which always had it in F, and showed chords you would of needed 3 extra fingers to play. Yes it has been very cool to see him playing an Axis and the red JP though I have not seen him with the Silo yet. Wonder if he just got them off the rack or if BP sent them to him.

What I like to JF is that he sounds on every guitar like JF. This is one important thing for a real good musician. And his singing is still like 40 years before, very powerful.

Gotta love Fogerty...what a great songwriter and heck of a player on top of that! I too would love to see him live one day.
