Hi guys,

Thought you might like to see this. John Mayer doing Dylan cover in Sydney on a guitar that looks vaguely familiar :)

Yeap I was gonna say reflex but I remember BP saying John wanted a black 25th. Same thing really but just a little trivia. :)

I love my Venetian redburst but man. Black, white, and gold top all look sooooo good. Love it!

wow that's the first time I've read that. I may have to include Johns quote about the Reflex when I get asked about it. Very cool guitar

I got a bit confused by that article actually - this quote in particular: "But [The Black One] just struck. All of a sudden this guitar started doin' it..."

I think John plays the black 25th. The one in the video above is a 25th I believe (see headstock).

You're mis-reading.

The continuum album was 'the black one' which is what he calls the black fender relic'd strat that he plays.

+1

He was talking about the 25th as an example of loving a guitar even though the finish wasn't right.

Yeah but most of Battle Studies was our guitar. we had high hopes and kept our fingers crossed that it would translate to the live set but it didnt. I appreciate the opportunity to work with John and any exposure is good. I cant lie we were hoping that this would be a break. it was a mini break. I was in the studio twice and rehearsals once, I dont do that for anyone anymore. I even brought smoked Tri Tip to the sessions I couldnt tell you guys about it because of the politics involved
