Hey everyone, Maddi is JP's tech and he is over at the JP forum posting info about John's gear. In this case it's about the guitars.

He requested that someone passed along the info to this forum.

Here is the list of the guitars being used on the current tour. Most of them can be seen on the JP website.

Standard Tuning:
1-JPX
1-Black Sparkle BFR
1-Cherryburst BFR
1-JP6 Mystic Dream(used on Pull Me Under)

C tuning:
1-Silverburst BFR

D tuning:
1-Trans Black BFR

Drop D tuning:
1-Trans Black BFR

Bb Baritone:
1-Trans Black BFR Baritone

For the club shows, the Stealth 7 BFR is thrown in for Mirror/ Lie

The standard tuning guitars are switched more at the one off shows, but mainly the Black Sparkle and Mystic Dream are used.

Setlist is as follows:

As I Am--- C tuning
Rite of Passage--- D tuning
Home--- Drop D tuining
Constant Motion--- Standard(BFR)
Panic Attack--- Bb Baritone
Pull Me Under--- Standard(JP6)

No problem, all the credit goes out to Maddi. I highly recommend you guys check some of this posts. VERY informative and totally cool, what a guy. Mad props to him.

Also, Paul just updated the gear section on the JP website with the current tour rig and close up to the Mark V settings, pedalboard, etc for anyone interested. You can find that over here: The Official John Petrucci Web Site right below the A rig pictures.

Very informative G, and it is always nice to see what someone is using.

Nils I would also bet he has a backup for each, but 5 of the songs of the 6 on the set are in different tunings so it makes sense for the changes. The most guitar changes I have ever seen in my life was Joe Perry on the Pump tour. They had to play 20 songs easy and he never played the same guitar twice. His tech really earns his money.lol
