How many of these, and what kinds have been made??

Today I stumbled over the bahama blue bfr, you know.. without the burst.
That was jewel!
I have one bfr in order, and when that comes in hand, I'm thinking about getting another one.. May as well look for one of the 50 bahamas.. But where there any other limited eds. made over the years??

What a useless collection :s
IMHO there is a point when having too many guitars leads to 1) not playing on it 2) not taking good care

It's a great source of info on the other hand

hehe.. I could aggree with you there, but someone just collects them..
I've scored two guitars from collectors through my years as a player, and both guitars was untouched.. and the oldest one 6 year from prod. date :p

Myself.. I really miss the old finishes on the maple bfrs. The green one, the purple.. everything.
I still can't belive they dicontinued them.
I am allready awaiting one in Tobacco Burst 7, and for a backup.. it'd be fun to find one of the old discontinued.
I'm also going for two 6ers to play when I don't need 7 strings..and when I saw the GuitarCenter limited in Bahama Blue without the burst.
Ooh, my God.. The light blue color just made the maple figures really punch through. I absolutely love it...
But yet again.. I love maple tops.. Bookmatched or not :)

I don't mean to start anything but Ernie is a fellow knucklehead and just a great dude around the forum. He loves his Petruccis and all the guitars in his collection are in good hands.

I'm definitely not a collector and its not for me, but I just don't think its fair to toss a label on a dude who loves the JPs and takes care of them.

Yeah man. Amethyst and Emerald green were incredible finishes. Brad K has a wicked JP7 bfr with super sucky amethyst top. And emerald green, just fabulous. Unfortunately the colors didn't sell so well.

Of all the limited runs, the All rosewood neck and roasted maple neck added some great aesthetic and tonal variation. Especially the all rosewood neck.

If another run came out, I'm re ordering the one that got away!
