John petrucci's weird prototype JPXI/JPX combo

I was watching a video of john playing that was made after dream theater a dramatic turn of events came out and from what i have read he made that whole album with his new JPXI at the time.

But what is this thing? it has a jpx neck (check the top inlay) and what looks like a jpxi body but not the onxy colour as we know, just seems a weird mix of parts.

anyone have any info on this guitar or know what it is? or if this is indeed the guitar he wrote the album on?

All JP models made before XI have 15" radius. XI it is first model with 20" radius. Maybe he felt more comfortable with this combo or maybe he wanted a different feeling. Who knows.

In this video Maddi talks a little bit about it right at the beginning. Apparently its "the last prototype before it went in to production".
