You see, that's why I haven't got an endorsement.

My (fictional) lawyer demands contracts to be signed in blood and cast upon tablets of stone, where as EBMM need people with talent!!

Jesus, I'm away from the forum for a day or two and miss all the fun ...

I can't believe that there has to be a reminder to keep the discussions respectful. That one should be a no brainer.

As for new artists coming to EBMM ... I'm sure BP will let us knuckleheads know when things happen. We've always been lucky enough to be privy to some great info.

+1

I just stumbled upon this thread.....and never expected that some of my brothers here could be that disrespectful  I admit it - I am a 120kgs guy.....and I can play. I don't have problems with my fingers and I'm not gonna be 200kgs by the end of next year. Keep your prejudices to yourselves, folks

EBMM don't do the typical money and contract thing when it comes to endorsements. For BP and Co. it works thusly:

1. Artist talks to BP and Co. to see if they could work together.
2. If answer is yes, handshake and a smile given by each side.
3. Artist now endorses EBMM and is free to leave any time.

"My favorite guitars are Vs." "I like you, lets make a V."
*Handshakes. smiles*
*Now endorsed....* *Suddenly wakes up*

I just read about this guy yesterday, and got caught up on a lot of the discontinued models at PRS. Anyways, had to look the guy up and love his playing. Would love to see him come over to EBMM, but whatever he does from now will be great, seeing how its what he wants to do and what feels right to him.

.....but apparently Jonny Hiland has left PRS and is going to have an EBMM Signature. I saw a thread about it somewhere! ;o)

Seriously though -I was at Music Live in the UK a couple of years ago, and I was looking at some FX.....then this guy on a PRS on the stand next door was just rippin' country shred from hell! He just walked up and plugged in.....

Got home, read a mag and realised it was Jonny - he was awesome!

He is great. I hope people realize what he has been able to do with country/fusion/progressive/blues. I hope he creates a new MusicMan that BP approves ... if it gets to that point.

I have never spoken with Johnny Hiland. I have never met Johnny Hiland. Pretty hard for me to be having a beer with someone especially since I dont drink and dont know him.

So I have not poached Johnny Hiland, Have not agreed to make a guitar for Johnny Hiland and any announcements regarding any players should come from us......right?

You would think that BP's statement on this would have killed this thread...

Can't we just bee cool, and not lock the thread? Not every long winded thread needs to end in locking. Let it die a natural death ...

If Johnny Hiland signs with EBMM - then Johnny Hiland is a gear whore! It is clear that Johnny Hiland is only endorsing products for money. There is no loyalty in him whatsoever. He skips around from product to product (Remember when he endorsed route66 pedals?)- whoever will pay for his next twinkie! I used to hear him how he would praise PRS at the clinics, NAMM and at other performances. Then all of a sudden, he talks trash about PRS while he is signing with EBMM! What a joke. I never heard him say anything good about EBMM in print or anywhere - it was always how great PRS was. He may be a talented player (then again there are thousands out there who are as talented as him) - but where's the loyalty? I heard through the grapevine that he can't even get studio work in Nashville because he is so difficult to work with. Let's see how long this EBMM thing is going to last! I bet the next guitar company that offers him more money is all it will take to purchase Johnny Hiland's loyalty! That constitutes a whore in anyone's book. I once hear a story where this guy asked this girl if she would sleep with him for 1$ and she said "no!" Then he asked her if she would do sleep with him for a million dollars and she said "yes!" Then the man replied, "The question as to whether you are a whore or not has been settled - you are - now it is simply a matter of agreeing on a price!" The same is true for Johnny Hiland or anyone else out there like him. Guys like him remind me of all the muscle magazines and all the crap these steroid freaks push in the ads - telling you how great this protein powder is or some pill or whatever. All along they are lying to you while they shoot up with steroids. I heard Johnny Hiland plays a telecaster still and that it is his favorite guitar to play! Read it on TDPRI. So much for Johnny Hiland's endorsements - go figure! What a loser. Peace!

Well, if anyone is in it for the money trying to endorse EBMM guitars. Good luck. None of the endorsers are paid.
