I live in Cheshire (one of the flattest places in the UK) It's almost impossible to walk up the two slight slopes that we have in the town, as the pavements are covered in sheet ice. I've just been to pick my daughter up from her Grandma's (about 1 mile away) it took me 30 minutes each way to walk and I fell over twice!!!

Are we O/T here?

somebody who used to work with Johnny? Rob our artists that have signature models recieve a modest roaylty...believe me modest...it is only fair.

WHy does this guy come here so strongly?

Guess what? I taked to Johnny Hiland the other day.

Good.. I really hope something comes of it. It'd be so cool to see him playing a humbucker equipped Al!!!! :)

As for the gear whore thing... sheesh... what else should we apply such ridiculous logic to? We get payed for gigs... we'll choose the highest paying gig if two potentials are on the same day... we're gig whores. In fact, any artist that endorses anything is a gear whore... they should just do everything for free anyway... I mean why should anyone get into cross marketing ever? Besides... I doubt his royalty with PRS was much beyond the modest royalty BP speaks of for his artists. These are companies making one guitar at a time, rather than the hundreds a day of other companies. I'd be VERY surprised if him leaving PRS has all that much to do with money. It's probably more about promotion opportunities, ranking within the artist list (which relates to the previous in the list), and design elements he couldn't get (because I doubt any artist other than Santana could ask for a pre 1995 neck heel and get it LOL).

I know it's late, but for some reason I didn't realize this thread had ever had any updates, and I saw that BP had talked to Johnny (I read from back to front loL) and then I saw that one off trolling post and I had to make a couple points... I have trouble with letting illogical statements go without pointing out the illogic. lol

We have no snow right now, but it's cold outside. Methinks a pellet grill might help. That way I don't have to walk outside 200 times to check the temperature.
