Jon (or anyone)...
In the EBMM guitars, can you simply just swap a real Floyd Rose into a EBMM Licensed guitar????
Just wondering if the poles are a different spacing.
Thanks in advance.

I have no idea, and I asked Dudley, and he doesn't know either. Sorry.

I've spoken to them about swapping a licensed Floyd seven to an Original Floyd...however since then I have changed my mind. If you look at an original Floyd you'll see that it is difficult to palm mute...but hey if you're not into that stuff then it's cool!

It's not difficult to mute with a Floyd...you just need to make sure you don't push it sharp....infact muting requires very little pressure...

I meant on the ORIGINAL FLOYD, cause the tuners (the fine ones) are very close to the saddles...

I don't know if this is true or not but when I ordered an original Floyd Rose for my old Charvel last week, the guy told me that he always replaced the EB Licenced Floyds with originals because it enhanced the tone enough to justify it.

Raz,

I've got an Original Floyd on my Kramer, and aside from a nice body crack near one of the posts, it's in great shape. The fine tuners are located on the upper rear edge. Maybe you are thinking of the "lo-pro" style Floyd?

In this situation, the licensed Floyd has a spcae between the fine tuners and saddles. We discussed this before to great lengths, and it's all just a preference thing...

Ha that's funny, like the commercial for the new SW Episode III, he says, "Destroy the Sith, we MUST!"

I've never had an issue with those...you only need the heel of your palm to mute strings...that's why the don't call it HAND muting... :D
