jongitarz/ErnieBall repair/website praise report.

A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread stating that I had bought a 94 sterling off of ebay and when I received it, the frets were wasted. I asked if anyone on here knew anyone that could do a refret, and to my suprise was told that the Ernie Ball factory would do it. I was even further suprised when one of the Ernie Ball Staff (Jon) contacted me through my post. I sent my bass to the factory and Jon and his staff had to replace 12 frets and crown and polish the rest. I just recieved my bass today and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the quality of workmanship that my bass received. The frets looked beautiful and there is no sign that there ever was a refret done. They also did a complete setup on the bass, as well as polished everything on the bass!!!! The thing just looks and plays simply stunning. I'd just like to personally thank jongitarz and those at ernie ball for all the help they have given me and all on this forum. I would also to thank all of the people on this forum for the advice that I constantly get off of here. Once again thanks Jon your a miracle man!!!!

MUSIC MAN FOR LIFE BABY!!!!!!

Peace

John

I work in a service related business and I can tell you that service like that will keep customers coming back again and again for your product. Not only that, those customers can do more effective advertising through word of mouth than anything you can buy. Congratulations to Ernie Ball and their staff for knowing how to keep and build their customer base.

Yeah I thought it was awesome because of the personal touch they keep with there instruments, unlike some companies that dont give a crap what happens to there basses once they leave the door.

I also wanna share my experience with ernie ball. I just bought my bass and it arrived a few days ago. When I took out the plastic that covers the pickguard, I noticed that there were 2 lines of deep scratches, I think that might be caused by a cutter.

I called Scott Ball this afternoon, and told him what happen. What amazed me was, he is gonna send me another new pickguard today and he said that I would receive the new replacement pickguard this coming Wednesday. I am so happy to hear that. Ernie Ball has the best customer service indeed and I really appreciate that.

Thanks

Let me jump on the love train. No major problems here, but every time I've emailed EB with questions, someone gets back to me, usually within 12 hours or so, which I think is more than accaptable.

What he said. EB is a great company with good quality control. Can't say enough good about the basses they make.

Gav...While I agree I am one big ASSet to the company, (new name: Hugh Jass), the Ball family would probably disagree with me being the company president, although it would be cool *closing eyes and dreaming* sigh...

yeah Jon maybe one day youll have stickers produced that says your balls are the best. :D

and your sticker would become " rare " ahah

I'd also pay good money for the Jon big ball Sticker ! but we don't want a pic to prove it ! :D

And I gotta say that it's great that they usually write back withing 24 h .. or at least send you a "noticed" that they are out for a con. and that 'll help us as soon as they get back

Well, many of you don't know this, but Jon is already VP of the Yard and Lawn Maintenance Department.

Seriously, it IS beyond cool that EBMM, mostly through Jon and Derek, keep an eye on things here and elsewhere and make sure that the basses with the EBMM name on 'em are up to standards, even when they've had the crap played out of 'em.

Beyond all that, I consider Jon a friend of mine and one hell of a nice guy, even if he does play that instrument with the skinny, girly strings.

the just proud to be dimly associated
