How come the pick-up's on one of my SR4's are diferent? One of them the poles are very square cut, almost sharp. The other the poles are kinda of rounded off.

The rounded ones are newer. We are always trying to improve our product, and felt it would be better to round off the sharper edges

Oh, posh! :p I remember the sharp pole pieces being no problem at all!

Anyway, has EBMM ever considered changing the cover for the pickup so that it'd have a radius that would match the neck? I've yet to see this on any bass. It'd be pretty groovy if you guys did it! :)

What date was the sharp pole pieces changed to rounded? Might be able to talk my wife into a Bongo if I can convince her the SR5 has those mean pickups on it. LOL

She won't make me sell it cuz she thinks its pretty LOL. I am pretty sure she would tell me to jump in the lake any way. The SR5 sounds and plays so good I don't think I can justify the Bongo for a few years.

GAS bubble got me thinking is all.

Dang never had the problem. Nope I will remain honest. I really like the SR5 so much I don't know I could play a Bongo in favor of it anyway. Some times it just may be a blessing to have to wait.
