So a quick back story- i grew up listening to KID LANG whom then turning into Jonny Lang and have always been inspired by this young musician ever since i saw him on 20/20.
Fast forward some 15 years now and i finally got to see him live last night with a good friend of mine. This cat has destroyed any and all concerts i have ever seen in the past- and i've seen some great shows but... WOW! i was blessed to be able to stand at the stage all night and watch his unique approach to the guitar that still has me asking HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?!?!

if anyone gets a chance to see him i would strongly suggest it. Brilliant musician and his backing band is very talented.

I love Jonny!!
He gives it his all as a singer and a guitar player. The music just possesses him; that gets my top notch respect.
He's one of those artist that builds a solid base of what he's about. With that, his following will only become enormous with time.

Jonny is great. I think it was slightly difficult for him getting over the Disney image because they drove his image forward so heavily early in his career. But as it turns out, he has great chops, sings well, and flat out rocks the blues.

I absolutely LOVE his vocal work on "Austin" on Eric Johnson's new album. Simply awesome.

Definitely agree. Really like Johnny's work. Kenny Wayne Sheppard is in that same category, also. Two young blues guys that are doing the genre proud.

Yeah man, I can't believe how great a singer this guy is, let alone such a soulful player. Good stuff.

I was lucky enough to watch him from the front row this summer. Fantastic singer and player. What amazed me was how much of his own soul and style he pours into his music. No cliched blues licks to be found anywhere in his show, it's very original. Definitely do not pass up a chance to see him.

Glad to see the return of both Johnny and Kenny Wayne who had disappeared for awhile with Kenny taking a few years off to clean up and Johnny going back to the Blues after going in a direction I doubt was his choice. Two young guys who have really paid there dues already and are both the real thing. I missed the Hendrix Experience tour this year of which both were on the bill and should be next year which I can guarantee I will be at.

i have been immersed in Jonny Lang music this whole week and i went to dinner last night with a couple of friends and trying to explain some of the things Jonny was doing was darn near impossible but it was truly an experience i will not forget anytime soon.
I was blessed being able to be in front of the stage all night and he was very original and heart felt... i had never seen him live and to see him just dive into the music 100% from the moment he picked up his guitar was so impressive and remained on stage without any breaks for nearly 2 1/2 hours.
Will definately see him again if he's within a 3 hour drive... it's that good.
