Hello everyone I'm new to the forum here and I have been looking to buy a jp 7. But here is the problem I'm having... I really LOVE the jpX on up to the 13 body style but I can't seem to find a koa version of it. Only the original body/bfr. Is this something I have to order directly from music man?

I would think that just like how the 6 strings have a 2 inch radius difference, so do the 7 string models. That is a big difference, and could make or break comfortability for some players. I highly recommend you try them both first.

I've played the BFR 7s love love them jus that upper horn killed it for me. The radius doesn't bother me I really don't notice it. The jp13 12 11 10 are awesome as well. But I think my odds of getting my hands on a koa jp in the newer body style are 0.5 in a billion.

Totally agree with Kenji....

I have a 12 and a BFR (on order). They both play exceptionally well... Get over the horn, the guitars are amazing. Or, get over the Koa and get a JPx or newer. Either way, you win. #winning

Valid point guys and thank you! Looks like I might have better odds with the jp 12 Bali 7

Cherry Burst BFR..Best guitar i have ever owned, and believe me,i've owned a lot of guitars!
The upper horn is like most other guitars..I never notice the difference..Im too busy appreciating the guitar in all its glory

^^ I think when you see/feel the guitar in person you won't care about the upper horn anymore.

Yea I feel your pain it's only a matter of time before they offer it. But until that time that do offer it I'll just play this.
