Ok so you regulars around here know all about my love for the Albert Lee guitar.

I switched to Ernie Ball in 2005 after a long lay off -was a LP player for many (uhhh many) years.

A big part of my re envigoration was playing an SSS guitar as good as the AL - and boy it is sooooo good.

However, for the last couple of months I have used my JP6 for gigs and used my hardtail Al for alternate tuning numbers.
.... and I have really enjoyed what the the JP6 brings to the table - kinda takes me back to my Les Paul daze!!

So I have saved up enough for a new guitar - apart from my Les Paul and the guitars in my sig I have only owned 2 other guitars of note in 40 years of playing = I don't buy guitars too often :)

Some may say - get an AL with humbuckers? - yeah good idea but I have 3 Als and I'm not gonna sell any of them - maybe would consider a swop - HH Al for my hardtail. Other than that it stays.

So after playing a Sterling Silo and a new Sub I have decided that I will probably go for a Silo HsH but man, I'd love that to have a gamechanger.

I'm in no rush - and would prolly turn a holiday in the States visiting St Louis into a guitar buying expedition.

Oh well back to work so I can finish early!!

I play a Dargie JP6 with tremol-no in standard and a Black Sugar JP6 with a tremol-no as well tuned to Eb, love the feel of the trem, its so smooth, and with the tremol-no I have every option with different tunings that I need...JP6...win, win!

im also using the jp6 with a tremol-no.absolutley brilliant. i'll only ever use my strat if i need that kind of sound. i barely use my pgm and les paul..... least of all the les paul actually. the jp just fits me so well in terms of feel and sound.
