It's a pretty good effort, but I'm guessing photoshopped. 1. Uneven spacing of the tuner buttons on the 3 side of the headstock. 2. Uneven spacing of saddle intonation adjustment screws on the back side of the bridge.

that's what got me thinking this might be photo-shopped.
Also to me - even though it's hard to tell for sure from the size of this pic- it looks like the bridge has the old type piezo saddles....

this is gonna be insane. i am still sceptic about how the jp shape translates to 8 strings. will it be a 5+3 headstock or maybe even 4+4?

i´m leaning towards Keith Richards and rather go 5 strings than 8

Probably the same as most other super strat 8 strings (Ibanez, Jackson, etc). I'd wager 5 + 3 to keep the signature asymmetric look.

Why? Works perfectly fine on the 7 strings...

IMO, piezo works best on mid to higher frequencies. Those heavy low strings oscillate too much to give a clear sound. But happy to be proven wrong!
