Wish I could have been there - not horribly far, but a very busy week at work. Congrats BP on teaming with Sweetwater - they do a great job there, customer service is spectacular!!

I wish I could have had a "heads up" on something like this. I would love to see the "up close and personal" from both of these icons.

I'd mentioned it in a couple threads here - don't know what you're doing with your time, but you should obviously be reading every post here twice for nuggets just like this! :D

I've been wishing that Sweetwater carried Music Man guitars for years, so when I got the email that John was coming to town for a clinic I knew that my wish had finally come true...can't really put into words how awesome it is!

Needless to say I was honored to meet both John and Sterling...and BTW Sterling, you did a great job on the bass! It was also extremely cool of John to let that youngster up on stage for a quick lesson...I'm sure it's an experience he will never forget.

Just stopped by here to say a big THANK YOU!

Not surprising that some people were taking some video/pictures, we don't get many like Mr. Petrucci coming around these parts. :)

I was a witness to BP's chops in 2009 when he laid down the bottom end for Luke and Steve Morse at the Guitar Center sessions in Hollywood in 2009. The man is a great bass player...and it was a privilege to be in the room that night with the 3 of them when they played "Little Wing".

Believe it or not I still have my copy of Albert Lee's Star Licks VH'S video which had to be made in the late 80's(Albert AL sig was not even produced yet), where he introduces his good friend Sterling Ball to play bass on a few examples lol.I don't know why Sterling down plays his abilities as he is an excellent player and has been playing longer then most guys on the board have been alive.

If anybody would like to see some high quality pics - there's some on the Travis Larson Band website of the event (covers a little bit of their northern Ohio tour too - but has great shots of Travis Larson & Jennifer Young - then Big Poppa and John Petrucci at the Sweetwater presentation): Travis Larson Band -- Shift Tour, Ohio and Indiana, 2013

By the way, if you're not familiar with The Travis Larson Band - you should be! Very talented three-piece band in the mold of Steve Morse Band - and both guitarists play EBMM so they're our kinds of folk! :)

I was there that night too, and BP killed it on that Bongo. And I wish I was at that sweetwater clinic.

Dying for a JP clinic!
