This is a really cool situation for me to be in. How often when you're shopping for guitars or for that matter anything, is the less expensive model the one you really want?

I'm safe too unless the BFR comes out in the 'Score' sunburst.

Until then, I'm happy with my original JPs.:D

I hope the original JP stays in production for awhile, at least until I get a second one. I think the BFR is way cool, but I prefer the original. I like the dished out body, unfinished neck, and the solid colors better.

Wrote exactly what I think!

Is it me or is the arm contour on the BFR ever so slightly scooped? Not quate as dramatic as the regular JP, but it looks it to me.

perfect Thats because the guitar stands on its own not just the signature

BP, you are soooo right about that. I can't stand seeing a guitar that is a companies regular production model with a few minor mods and some guy's name slapped on it. I'd be embarrased to have a signature model guitar if I had nothing more to offer in terms of innovation than new pickups or a different neck profile.

The EBMM signatures offer something of substance to guitarists that is more that just cosmetic changes. Regardless of who it was originally designed for, I love my Axis. I'd put it up against any other guitar available at any price in terms of tone, playability, and quality. The JP, while completely different that the Axis, is equally innovative in terms of design. It is an unbelievable instrument that is surely going to be considered a classic down the road. Music Man is the modern equivalent of the Gibsons and Fenders of the 50's and 60's.

I couldn't agree more. I got my first EBMM a few weeks ago and I literally sold off my other guitars to purchase it, based on reputation, suggestion, and the people who chose to have them as their signature company. I can't wait to buy another. I'm afraid to gig with my Luke Blue Dawn LE 2007 in fear of a scratch being put on it. i need to buy a "lesser" luke that I can gig regularly with because honestly, the stages I play are a "little" bit smaller than the ones Dream Theater play on and sometimes my fellow musicians can bump in too each other sometimes!!

I love this company!!!!
