^ I noticed that too. About every other month there's another "lost" interview with Hendrix or something. *shrug*

Hi, i'm a psychic that works works with various police agencies. When there's no missing persons for me to find, i take on these gigs with guitar magazines and help them interview jimi hendrix, jimmy page... so on and so forth. they still have a lot so say, it seems. :p

those missing persons always seem to hang around water or creek anyway... so, a lot of spare time. besides, i can usually predict when the police will call me regarding missing person anyway.

a psychic's gotta eat. sometimes they want me to talk to hendrix, page... randy rhodes. after a few conversations.. jimi told me to check out an EB, after a few weeks, so did Page. at another instance, Randy told me to get a EB.

so, here i am. posting away. btw, i predict someone who owns, plays EBMM will post after me. told you i was good.:p

A psychic talking to Jimmy Page? Wouldn't it be easier to pick up the telephone? :p

Unless you know something he doesn't.......

:)I think the reason that EBMM guitars do not receive as much exposure from major magazines is because there are no major artists( and I mean on the U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers type of scale, sales wise) that either endorse the instruments or use them much on stage. On the bass side thats a different story since it seems the Stingray is at least as popular as a Precision bass in terms of use by major acts. No disrespect to Steve Lukather, Steve Morse(I just ordered one from Chuck Levins music center BTW), John Petrucci or Albert Lee as artists but you don't here the new catchy three chord songs from any of them so you are not going to see them as much as say the "arctic monkeys". Also, many people buy instruments due to a nostalgic type thing (I.E. they want to have the Hendrix or Gilmour mojo so they buy a Strat...) and thats not EBMM. And thank God for that because I love the modern look and high build tolerances on an EBMM instrument.
The last thing I'll say here is that EBMM has virtually no advertising for their instruments compared to say Fender or Gibson. Thats not slagging EBMM I hope they stay underground myself, but what can you say when the MusicMan website is quite a bit out of date with the products actually available as well as having very little exposure by major acts or in major magazines? You have to give the buyers what they want, and quite a few want those other guitars because THEY SEE THEM ALL THE TIME. I am sure if you had some contemporary acts like John Mayer endorsing say the Silhouette you'd be seeing quite a run on Silhouettes.

Who cares lets just hope EBMM don't move to China.... :D

I stopped buying Guitarist Long ago, just after Future took over. I sometimes thumb through it in WH Smiths, bit would never waste my money on it. Its like one big advert with a couple of Fender reviews thrown in. Everything they print I have read online weeks ago. That said, I like Guitar World, and am thinking of getting a subscription.

Hey, i just finished reading this months Guitarist and there were the following MM references

  • Small article on the Global Warming Guitar
  • Review of the Peavey Jerry Donohue guitar which is likened to a "Music Man Axis" (which is does look a little like i guess)
  • Mr Horsepower on the final page
  • Article with Mr P and a nice pic of a JP7 BFR

Four aint bad!
