Heads up on a good cover story & lesson. John mentions that his new guitars are setup with .009's. Has/will the factory gauge change? My new JP6 built (04/04/07) plays really easy, but I'm thinking it's still got .010's on it.

For a second I thought it said GW, and I was like "What?" but then I realized the folly of my ways.

Great News!

Sorry, I meant to write Guitar Player Magazine. I hope you're not dissapointed ;). GQ would probably discuss JP's return to long hair and buffed up appearance. Maybe a sidebar on the BFR F-1's. A video lesson will be loaded up soon on www.guitarplayertv.com At this writing, it's not up yet.

Went looking for the July issue today but all they had was the June. I'll have to keep my eye peeled.

Would the JPs actually be setup with different strings if JP decided to use 9s? That would be attention to detail. Personally I'd prefer the 10s, and from what I've heard my new JP will be setup with them.

BP, is this conformation that BFR's will come stock with 9's?

Would certainly save me the time to get it setup, that's for sure.

Can someone from EB/MM confirm the string gauge that was installed at setup on my new JP6 built on 04/04/07? I'm not sure if it's .009's or .010's. I'm about due for a string change, and would like to use the same gauge since it plays so great. Thanks!
