Rob,

Doesn't the AL ship from the factory with a mixed .09 & .010 set? Similar to the Steve Morse?

I found out through Customer Service that my new JP6 shipped with .010's. So, I put a fresh set of Slinkys on this morning and they were staying in tune within minutes. I didn't even have to stretch them out! I'm sold on locking tuners, and the Petrucci Tremolo is the best system I've ever played or owned. I'll never buy a locking nut system ever again. I sold my SM-Y2D w/Floyd and bought the hardtail version, and I'm very happy that I did. The Floyd stayed in tune, but locking nuts are too much of a hassle for me. The hardtail version is a bit lighter and seems better balanced. It sounds fantastic and the tuning is rock solid.

I just bought my JP a week ago, and it was strung with 10's. Interestingly, when I changed over to 9's, adjusted the bridge, and checked the intonation, it was spot-on!

Wierd!
