To BP,
In no way I wanted to offend or cause unnecessary debate and I wasn't comparing the guitars in my strings example, simply sharing my experience.
The SUB came with RPS, and if the people here remember I had terrible tunning issues and it only got solved by replacing the strings and lubricating the saddles and the nut.
I tried some EB strings before I tried the Daddario and decided that it works best for me on the SUB...
To the poster:
I had problem like yours on my Old RG550 which I sold to buy the current SUB1,
what I did is using a sand paper in order to sand the saddle just a bit, so the string wont bump into something that could cause breakage.
I also lubricate the strings using Big Bend's Nut Sauce after I got it recommendations by forum members, great recommendation!... it does help...
I never broke a string since...
