Hi
I just bought a wonderful used JP BFR 6 which looks amazing in Trans Black. I already have a non-piezo JP which is a great guitar.
I just noticed that the bridge pick up on my BFR is a lot higher out of the bridge than my other JP. That consequently makes it closer to the strings with a similar setup. I have just unscrewed he pickup and there is no shim or anything underneath.
The actual height would not bother me it's just that the BFR seems to have a more driven sound than my other JP which I put down to the higher pickup.
Is this common ? Any other experiences ?
Cheers
