JP pickups: too hot for tuners??

I get much better tuner stability from my BOSS TU-70 by turning the guitar volume down, even with my weaker Silo p'ups.

That seems like the obvious solution here. I have that same tuner btw, had it for 7 years now probably

My Korg DT 1000 works fine using the neck pickup of my Pre D-Sonic JP6,still better than using the bridge PU
