JP piezo routing

i bought a splitter box for my JP, have the piezo going to acoustic amp, and the magnetic to my mesa. tonight i tried using both outputs on the guitar, while bypassing the splitter box, and found that i am able to switch between the 2 signals (and amps), just with my piezo switch

heres my question. is it possible for me to be able to still be able to switch between my 2 amps with the piezo selector if i run a stereo out cable into my splitter, will i have to use the splitter to select the amps instead?

my splitter has a "both" switch. if i have this engaged, will i be able to use the piezo switch to select between amps?


if any of this is not clear or sounds overexplained, my goal is to run a stereo cable into my splitter box, while being able to using my piezo switch to select between amps

Yes you will.
By running the stereo cable out into a splitter thereby splitting the Piezo to amp1 and the mags to amp2, by using the selector switch on the top horn of the JP6 the switch will provide you with the 3 following options
1. (switch top position) Piezo only to amp 1
2. (switch middle position) Piezo to amp 1 and Mags to amp 2
3. (switch bottom position)mags only to amp 2

If your splitter box is not designed to take a stereo input (most are not), you won't get one or the other signal out of the splitter. Startouch Pedals makes an A/B/Y box that will handle it or one of the Lehle models can do this as well. Email Lehle and he'll tell you which one will work.

In either case, you will need to have your switch on your guitar set to both and use the footswitch to toggle back in forth.

my splitter is a radial bigshot aby, do you happen to know if this is able to accept a stereo input?

what was used for the chassis, just an old pedal? where can i get these jacks? music stores?

im posting these questions here cause i dont wanna revive the old thread

You can buy metal enclosures, jacks and switches at most good electronics hobby shops. They'll probably be cheaper than from a guitar shop.
